Now More Than Ever

BOMA Oregon staff and volunteers serve on a multitude of committees, task forces and citizen involvement boards throughout the state. BOMA also provides outstanding networking opportunities, including Celebrate BOMA, our annual Golf Tournament, the Products and Services EXPO, membership meetings and our lunch time education sessions. BOARD OF DIRECTORS 2012

The 2012 BOMA Oregon Board of Directors



Allied

Enhance the relationship between service providers and real estate professionals. Reinforce BOMA Oregon goals, increase the professionalism of our affiliate members. Coordinate semi-annual new member orientation meetings.



Codes & Operating

Examine and make recommendations on potential code changes and agency interpretations of building codes, fire and life safety, ADA, seismic regulations, SDC's and other state and local agency regulations impacting building owners and managers.



Emergency Preparedness/Security

Provide BOMA Oregon members the appropriate resources and educational offerings to help them prepare themselves, their staff, and their properties in the event of an emergency.



Emerging Leaders

Resource for anyone with five or less years experience in the commercial real estate industry. Plan networking, educational events and secure program sponsors.



Finance

Responsible for reviewing and providing guidance for the organization's financial matters.



Information/Marketing

Actively pursue all media opportunities. Alert media to BOMA Oregon’s local, state and national legislative issues. Promote special events, membership and education meetings.



Legislative

Review and determine the direction for legislative activities on the National, State and Local level. Actively monitor issues impacting BOMA Oregon Members.



Member Services

Responsible for the recruitment and retention of members.



Program

Develop topics and speakers for membership meetings and our “box lunch” education sessions. Coordinate the schedule, administration, location and support of education programs throughout the year.



Special Events/Networking

Plan and coordinate three existing special events and new social networking events that will promote the benefits of BOMA Oregon to our members.



Sustainability

Promote environmentally sustainable business practices in the commercial real estate industry. Actively monitor and educate BOMA Oregon members on issues impacting their asset.



The Office Building Of the Year (TOBY)

The TOBY committee is responsible for coordinating the annual, and regional function of the International BOMA Office Building of the Year Awards Program. Assist applicants with their TOBY submission.
